Geetta en las sesiones de la cisterna de Can Monroig
Geeta Pearson, cantante, compositora y multi instrumentista de Montreal inicia su gira europea en España, actuando en Cataluña y en Can Monroig en Inca, Mallorca los días 5 y 6 de abril del 2014 donde presentará su nuevo EP “Lightbulb”.
Con claras influencias de Bjork o Patti Smith, una voz profunda con dejes trágicos y unos textos imaginativos un tanto surrealistas, Geeta combina voces, percusión y teclados, con sonidos electrónicos.

On April 5th and 6th, Montreal artist Geeta will perform in Can Monroig in Inca.
She is starting her European tour in Spain and will present her new EP titled Lightbulb which will be available in the summer 2014.
This independent production written and created by Geeta offers poetic and cinematographic landscapes.
Inspired by her imagination, metamorphosis, desire, space and time, she uses her unique voice to carry along the audience into deeper horizons.
Her intensity and unique tone is felt in her songs which reminds us of a certain Bjork and Lhasa meeting Patti Smith.
Geeta will present an intimate show with her keyboard, voice pedals and some electronic sounds and effects. A magical performance is guaranteed.
Geeta is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter, vocal explorer, artist and poet from Montreal. She has been creating art with sounds and words since many years. She composes with a real, sensitive and raw vibe influenced by her imagination, freedom, madness, people, art and life. She plays all instruments; she produces her own events and performs regularly in different types of festival and events.
She is well recognized for giving powerful live performances. She combines piano, keyboards, effects, harmonies, beats and percussions with surreal poetry. She sings with deep expression, raw intensity and melancholic beauty. With her wide vocal range, Geeta uses her voice as an instrument and plays with many tones, textures and carries along the audience towards cinematographic surreal landscapes.
She has collaborated with several international artists in music, cinema, multimedia and video games. She participated at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK. The New Cinema Festival, Montreal en lumières, India mon amour at SAT, Festival des Voix D’Amériques NXNE Festival in Toronto,The International Literature Festival, The Eclectik Festival at MAI and The Fringe Pop Festival. She has toured in Europe in 2012 and 2013. She received a grant from the Quebec council of Arts to produce a theatre, music and art project. In July 2013, Geeta went to explore electronic sounds and vocals inspired by Armenian contemporary music at the Arts and Cultural Studies Laboratory in Yerevan, Armenia for one month. She also conducts and produces the Art and Muse choir in Montreal. Geeta Press release
